Tum Pai Spirit Rest Camp
« on: September 20, 2004, 07:29:30 PM »
We are considering putting on a summer camp each year and would like to know if any Kajukenbo practitioners would be interested in such a camp.  It would emphasize the internal side of Martial Arts and Kajukenbo.
Please fill out this questionaire if you are interested.  Send it E-mail to tumpai@nwtec.com, or fax it to (541) 469-9706,  or mail it to Tum Pai Assoc., PO Box 124, Brookings, OR, 97415.  Thanks!

1.  What length of camp?
[] 3 day     [] 4 day     [] 5 day    [] 6 day     [] 1week        []  10 days

2.  What time of year?
[] Summer     [] Winter      []  Spring

3.  Would you be interested in horseback riding?
[] Yes     [] No

4.  Would you be interested in a Rogue River jet boat trip?  (See bears, dear, eagles, otters, and fantastic wilderness)
[] Yes     [] No

The camp would be located on Mussel Creek Ranch on the Oregon Coast, approximately 1/2 between the towns of Gold Beach and Port Orford.  It will have permanent tent facilities, bathrooms, and daily meals.  You would need sleeping bags, clothing, and any associated martial art gear.
The area is approximately 1/4 of a mile from the beach, 1/4 of a mile from an RV park on the ocean, 1/4 mile from a motel (about 12 units), and across the street from the Prehistoric Gardens, a picturesque park set in Oregon's rain forest. There is fishing on the Rogue River about fifteen minutes away.
The camp's classes will be 1.  Tai Chi once a day (Yang style)  2.  Tai Chi sword once a day  3.  Morning Yoga (Bikram Method)  4.  Traditional archery  5. Herb identification walks  6. Hiking  7. Paqua  8.  Internal Tum Pai Gung-fu Forms and Applications,  and 9. How to be calm and confident in the dark classes

All Kajukenbo practitioners are welcome.  Kids under 18 years have to have an adult who is responsible for them.  Sorry, No pets.

Thank you in advance for your input.  We appreciate it.
