Sweet, they have a Pittsburgh branch.  I wonder how long it would take for me to get a black belt there. ;D

That's sick.  And I wonder why people don't show a black belt and type of respect anymore.   >:(

That's my brother Matt under me in the pic Mark and he tests for black this Saturday.  He has been at the school for 13 yrs and I'm sure Sunday he'll remember vividly what a Black belt test is all about....

Man, I am just sick. I haven't felt that queezy since I was at a William Kim tkd tournament and there were kids with more stripes on their belt then mine. Did any one else notice that not a single one of them kids had a decent fighting stance? I wouldn't promote someone to yellow belt who couldn't at least pose for a camera >:(

And the icing on the cake is the title of Sensei... I don't think those kids could teach me how to tie my shoes, much less anything martial.

The really unfortunate thing is to see all these places going around saying "we are a black belt school."  It tarnishes those that are legitimate schools.

I agree, black belt can be a students goal and we as Instructors can help them train to possibly attain that milestone.  If I start giving them away, I'll have to kick my own _ss....

My niece has a teacher like that in TKD.Last weekend we went to my sister house for a Bar-BQ.and the karate came up.My niece show me her Blue belt and said she was testing for RED in 2 wks.Her uncle ask if she was still in karate.and she reply yes.A few hours later my niece was crying we ran out to see what happen and she said that my daughter beat her up.we patch every thing and when home.To night my sister ask my how long Nikki had been in karate and what belt she was. I told her  1yrs and she just got her orange belt.My sister was in :o when she had found out how long she had been training.I told her were a good KAJUKENBO DOJO in her area.

I have an issue with that too. I train in Judo (in addition to Kajukenbo) and the title of Sensei should recieve more respect in the world of martial arts! I find it tarnishes the HONOR of our arts to give the title of SENSEI to kids and 1st Degree Black Belts especially in some schools that are not even Japanese ANYTHING!! I spoke with an instructor that does this for his black belts and got this for an answer..."oh we got a LITTLE Shotokan in our system so our Grandmaster decided to call any black belt Sensei" I think what a LOAD OF SH...T!! NO IDEA what it is to  earn the very very HONORABLE title of SENSEI in traditioanl arts.

I am not sure how much more anybody checked out this site but for those of you that would like to get the title of Sensei and work at that black belt without having to leave the comforts of your home check out this part of the web site! Talk about giving the arts a bad name!

What brought my attention to these guys is the fact that they have posted the following on 5-6 forums: " If you are a legitimate Kenpo/Kempo Black Belt you can receive immediate cross ranking in Ju Jitsu." When people call them on the cross ranking scheme, they justify it by saying all kenpo cames from Mitose's Kenpo Jiu Jitsu, so kenpo black belts should naturally be jujitsu black belts also.
And then they say they're not a diploma mill ???
