"The Untimely Death of a Kajukenbo Sister"
« on: July 09, 2006, 05:42:52 PM »
It is with sadness to announce the untimely death of Carla Jean Gumataotao on July 7, 2006.  Born on Feb. 6, 1975, Carla was the only child of Grandmaster Larry Gumataotao and Lily Gumataotao.

A resident of Sacramento, California Carla trained in Kajukenbo and received her Green Belt from her father GM Larry Gumataotao.  She also had a love for performing the 'Hula' & 'Tahitian' dance.

She is survived by her mother Lily, grandmothers Barbara Gumataotao of Dublin, Calif. and Celia Langworthy of San Jose, Calif. along with many other family members (too many to list).

Carla will be laid to rest with her father at St. Michael's Cemetery in Livermore, California.  Specific times are yet to be confirmed but funeral services are known for Thursday, July 13, 2006.
Further details will be announced tomorrow afternoon.

The family asks for you prayers and of course we welcome your presence at services.

So sad, there is no worse death than that of one's child.  Let us hold one another in the light for we also have lost a beautiful sister, another youngster...
