I went to the first event here in Portland, Oregon.  I have friends who coach and fight for Team Quest aka the Wolfpack.  It was cool to see Bas Rutten and Maurice Smith and their teams go at it.  I like the format of accumulated points and the team concept.

Good times,
Tim

Whoops...Sorry about posting the results, I did not consider that this would be airing in the west first. I removed my previous post as to not spoil it for others.

I saw the IFL last night that 18 year has a good kick knock out two opponents with it.
the only thing I didnt like was the first 25 minutes were taken up by IFL advertisments
and commericals.  I was hoping to get a good two solid hours of fights.

Still I have become a fan of the IFL

Just a little note.  I talked to Sigung Chris Valdez from Tucson this morning.  He's now one of the trainers for Don Frye's "Tucson Scorpions".  Sigung Valdez has  been training boxers, kickboxers, and MMA fighters for quite a while.  One of his black belts, Drew Fickett, won his match at the last U.F.C.  Chris also does a lot of work with disadvantaged at risk kids in his area.

You're giving me too many teams to root for  :P

But I hear Bas is quitting as coach and will instead be color commentator for the events so I don't need to root for the Anacondas anymore ;)

Professor Bishop,
Thanks for the support and phone call this morning.  Drew Fickett is officially under Veon McCarrell but is a big part of our Ohana.  We have trained since he was a young up and coming Kajukenbo practioner.  Please check out the Tucson Scorpions April 13.  Ed West has been introduced to some Kajukenbo knees and we have increased his punching. He is always fun to watch, even more so now.  Gabe Cassillas and Mike Whitehead should be fun to watch as well.  In other news we all wish Don Frye good luck in his PRIDE fight in Japan.
