Hi,

Some people are having trouble viewing these videos.

Try updating your Windows Media Player or downloading this software to decode movies.  You'll find more video in this format as time goes on :
http://www.divx.com/divx/windows/codec/

Otherwise, try this media player, which has a lot of codecs integrated so you only have to update the player instead of hunting and installing parts everytime an unknown video format shows up :

Hard to say about the Rico vs. Bill fight.  Both probably wanted to avoid getting killed or beat.  Everyone wanted to see Bill go down and emerge humble, right ?   I liked the episode, but the match seemed to be far off from the showmanship exhibited in televised MMA matches.    The octagon used in this fight just seemed inadequate and something you'd have in your backyard, even though it really isn't.    I did enjoy watching the Jason fight, and that was perfect for a show like this.

We shouldn't expect these TV fights to look like MMA highlights.  There is one fight (two rounds?) to choose from , which reduces the chances of great moves compared to a full fight card.  Also, if there were any graphically-rough moves or blood, they would be excluded from a program made for a general audience.  Hmmm.  Why do I know that ?

I really thought they both looked worked but the Ricco fight was off, he should have beat him easy standing and on the ground.......world class grappler he is.....even out of shape he should school that guy.....I'm sure they did pick and choose what they showed though,,....

The Kung Fu episode was quite entertaining.  Watching these guys go through the "made for TV" monk training methods (squats with a tea cup) and seeing the show moves and WireFu was just a blast. At some point, the monks had to show that their fighting arts are more than acrobatic routines made for TV and film viewers.  And guess what?  The Chinese champion didn't look any different from a typical kickboxer.   The fight at the end seemed to be more real than anything, but the cynical me presupposes that the foreigner will lose.  The foreigner *had* to lose.  But it was unreal to see this tournament.  With the sea of monks watching, it was almost like a movie scene.  You have to hand it to the Chinese for their eye to grandeur.    Anyway, this was one of my favorite episodes.  Saturday afternoon Kung-fu movies attracted me to martial arts in the first place.
