Hopefully, the Human weapon show will travel to another place that has knife culture and training as well.

http://www.history.com/minisite.do?content_type=Minisite_Generic&content_type_id=55060&display_order=5&mini_id=54986

Here's the list of the upcoming episodes.  I'm with you on wanting to see more knife training, though I don't see much promise in the upcoming episodes.  The weapons segments seem to be represented by the Japanese sword arts.  The Silat segment may have some knife training , though I'm guessing we'll be greeted with a kris demo and its mythology.

Well, I do have a 20 minute segment in the upcoming series National Geographic Taboo, videotaped in October 2006, but it's not on Kajukenbo.   I think the air date is August 22, but I'll post the details in a few days.

Episode 5: Proving Ground

How do men prove their manhood? Often, by enduring pain. In an American Fight Club, successful, educated males engage in physical combat to test their manhood. Hundreds of men taking part in a time-honored event known as the Pasola charge toward each other on horseback, hurling spears. Young men of the Fulani tribe must whip an opponent twice during a large public demonstration, then be whipped.

IN this episode, will you be beating on eachother with baking sheets or toilet seats?

Regular ol' toilet seats, though one is baby blue and the other is mauve.   I had zero input in the editing, which is probably not a bad thing.  All we could control were the words from our mouths in the interviews and ensure that there was no fake fighting, as in trying to passing off drills or cooperative techniques as some magical, deadly art.   You all will have a good laugh at this one, I'm sure.

absolutley,

A strike on the hand sometimes has the same effect as a well placed groin kick. Some guys will just drop to their knees.

Yeah, Mickey.  The Savate episode was pretty good.  I liked the park/street training section in plain clothes.  This episode was fun to watch, and I liked the kick training for accuracy with the 10 lb rice bag.  Training with Combat de Cane with the Eiffel Tower in the background is just so grand.

Ok.  Why does "I can drive your nose bone into your skull" myth persist.  The nose is a piece of cartilege that won't be driven into the brain.

Also, the French RAID force can't "give" the American fighters the killer instinct.  An instinct is an ability that is wired into your neurology and can not be learned.  Otherwise, it's not an instinct.

I enjoyed this episode as well.  I liked the Chasse.  I was watching this episode with two of my friends and the opening words had us busting up laughing.  "If you think of the toughest country in the world, you probably wouldn't think of France" I'm paraphrasing, but it's something along those lines.  It's so insulting that it made me laugh.

A small side note. One of the Pankration teachers was an old kajukenbo student of mine many years ago. He was the one with the long pony tail, Aris Makris. Small World.
