i started martial arts at the age of fives.  before i got my DL i would miss some classes because parents would not feel like taking me to class, but when i got my DL i was always there. never missed a day.

I can see that you could get the AC/DC vibe from the hat, not sure how you made that into bisexual .....come on it has a skull that's manly isn't it?
I'll give you a hug next time I see ya and you'll see there is no Bi mojo coming from me no matter how good you look that day.....

I think if anything, just wearing that hat could make a gay man straight. The sheer amount of testosterone-fueled heterosexuality flowing through the brim is over-powering. I can feel it, just by looking at it.

When I made those I thought the gals wouldn't like them or wear them, but the funny thing is they liked them and wore them....maybe it was all the testosterone in them that made them popular...

I think it's great for a Kaju guy to pick up instructorships in other systems like JKD, FMA, BJJ, whatever, hell I got a few Blackbelts in other stuff myself.  When I see people list those as part of their sig it looks like they're sitting on the fence swinging both ways, and can't decide where their loyalty is.

Cross training is great to augment and fortify your Kaju, but there's enough in there to stay married to for a lifetime.

I started in JKD only months after starting in Kaju...so though I'm more Kaju it's enough a part to give respect to my teacher....

Why have loyalty to just one instructor or system? Perhaps when representing a team in competition sole loyalty becomes an issue, but is it so important when it comes to just listing where you train(ed)?

It's kind of like being half of two different races, do you just pick one and say that?....but if you are only 10% why bother mention it....
Sometimes you do see the endless lists of people that really only took seminar[ or two and are trying to claim the style.....but if you have put the time in, well then to me it is nice to read about.
I trained in many things, boxed, BBJ, Shoot, Catch, Lameco, Doce Pares, Sambo, blah blah....but just stole stuff and wouldn't claim for the most part it was a primary.  I started boxing first when very young and continued through present, but there is really no instructor solely to give credit to...or I would show the respect..../b]

Amazing,
The person who started this thread asked how to retain the interest of High school boys in the martial arts, yet we now have 28 posts and only 5 of them remotely deal with the question. I stand in awe  :o
