Phillosophy of a warrior
« on: September 08, 2003, 02:18:25 AM »
There is an interestingly composed document about warriorship at this link that some might find interesting: http://www.angelfire.com/realm2/astrolite316/axiomofawarrior1357azby.html

!!!
There is an article at http://www.aikidogreensboro.org/ronin.html that I personally think every human shoud understand.  Sinse I first read this story, I have improved as a martial artist and as a human tremendously, so I hope someone else can take something of value from it.
!!!

Are there any other interesting phillosophies out there worthy of governing one's life?

I read the story about the ronin and the tea master.  When I get the chance, I'm going to print it.  It's a very powerful story with many important points.  I think it is something that can be looked at over and over again to remind/help us with everything.  I hope to take this valuable lesson and apply it to my studies and daily life.

Aloha,

I live my life by "The Art of War" (originally by Sun Tzu).  Fits perfectly with Kajukenbo training.  Every time I read it, I learn something new.

Check out the Kaufman translation (ISBN 0-8048-3080-0)...I like it much better than the others.  There is something about having a martial artist translate the book...more meat, less fluff.

Respectfully-
