It is so sad to hear again another loss in our Kajukenbo Ohana.  I know when I talked to his daughter Angie yesterday
she said her father GM. Abad took it real hard to hear the news about Sijo's passing.  My heart goes out to his Ohana,
and I am very Happy to say it was great to see GM. Abad at Sijo Tribute here in Maui.  I am glad he stayed with me & my
ohana at my hale during Sijo's Tribute.  He shared alot of things with me about my uncle Brother Abe Kamahoahoa.  GM. Alan Abad
will be greatly missed by all of us here in Maui.  Even so he was sick and not in the best of health but made it a point to be here
with Sijo during our Tribute.  And that also goes with GM. Jon Loren too.  He was also not in the best of health but came also.
They will all be missed by us.  May the Lord watch over all of them Sijo, GM Jon Loren & now GM. Alan Abad.

With Much Love & Respect,

This breaks my heart to hear of this. I've had the opportunity to simply sit with GM Abad at his home and chat about his history with his teachers. This is very sad and my prayers go out to his family.

On behalf of Sibak Ruben and the entire Hawaiian Self-Defense EastCoast Ohana we send our prayers and condolences to GM Abad's family and his Kajukenbo Ohana. I never had the chance to meet GM Abad but I heard  many great things about him from my instructor. Professor Bishop was correct in saying that the saddest part about losing Sijo and now GM Abad is that the future generations of Kajukenbo warriors myself included will never have the chance to meet these two great men. God Bless both of you and your families. :'(
