It is with a heavy heart that write this.
Great GrandMaster Gaylord was both a living legend but more than that, a loving man that I called my friend.
I had been in phone contact with him recently and had some wonderful discussions regarding Kajukenbo and life.
He "ALWAYS" treated me with kindness and respect, sharing his wisdom and advice.
I send my, and my families condolences and love to his Family, Black Belts and entire organization.
He will be missed, but never forgotten!

God bless GGM Charles Gaylord

With respect,

What a sad day and a large loss to the Kajukenbo Family, Great Grand Master Charles H. Gaylord was just a happy man with a wisdon of his system of teaching Kajukenbo and keeping a huge groupe together, I will miss his songs that he would send to me I would always email him back with coments and laughter of his music. My respect goes out to him from the strongest part of my heart and to his family.  If there is any thing I can do please let me know.

So sad for us to witness the Passing of a legend.  Never to be forgotten, only to be remembered or imagined.  A man to have accomplished so much in a life time, his contributions to our art not to be taken for granted.  Honor to all who shared in his struggles and Strength to them still who carry on his will.

Our deepest condolences.

I had the privledge and honor to participate in three different Gaylord seminars over the years.  Most recently June 2009.  GGM was present when I was promoted to Black Belt.  He shook my hand, hugged me, told me he loved me then gave me a double palm strike to the chest and stomach.   I loved that.   He is and always will be an inspiration to me both in Martial Arts and life.
