He will be missed by all and remembered as the legend he became.  Our deepest condolences to all his family and friends.

Two of our fondest memories include his incredibly strong grip and how he enjoyed kissing my wife on the cheek every time she paid her respects!

Very few in the martial arts world impress me but today one of the few that did passed away. A tremendous person and an ever present figure in the Asian arts community. He had a handshake that was unforgettable even in his senior years. The amount of history he witnessed was astounding and his recollection even more so. He was respected by all and never failed to smile and greet you. I will miss him a lot and future events will not be the same with out him there. I am glad I got to know him personally. Love and Respect to you GGM AL Novak. There will be no replacing or forgetting you.

Great Grandmaster Novak will be remembered as a caring and gentle person, will help others, and was one the pioneers in the early days that perpetuate the martial arts to the end.
With deepest sadness, we have lost three legends in Kajukenbo, Co-Founder Joe Holck, and Great Grandmasters Ming Lum & Al Novak in November.  Their contributions in Kajukenbo will not be forgotten.  These practitioners will always be imprinted in the minds of us who knew them.  There are now at peace with the lord, may god bless them.
