A historically colossal event was held today at Tony Ramos Kajukenbo Headquarters in Fairfield CA..
Senior Professor David V. Amiccuci was promoted to the rank of 9th Degree Red/Silver belt and Red/Silver sash and given the title of Grand Master in Kajukenbo. This promotion was given to him at the request of Simoe Connie Ramos, wife of Ahgung Antonio A. Ramos the founder of the Ramos Method), matriarch of the Ramos Family. Grand Master Amiccuci was promoted for his outstanding dedication and commitment to Kajukenbo and the loyalty and honor he has demonstrated in continuing Ahgung Tony Ramos? Legacy in the Ramos Method. A panel of Grand Masters in Kajukenbo included: Senior Grand Master Ted Sotelo Grand Master Greg Harper, Grand Master Mitch Powell, and Grand Master Greg Lagera. SGM Ted Sotelo emphasized how historic this day was not only for Tony Ramos Kajukenbo method/schools but also for the history of Kajukenbo. Ahgung was one of the pioneers that brought Kajukenbo to the mainland. To see his legacy continue, under Grand Master Amiccuci the successor of the Tony Ramos Kajukenbo Method,(Who was chosen Directly by Ahgung), Ahgung would be proud.
The promotion was witnessed by 22 of Grand Master Amiccuci?s Black Belts, as well as students, sponsored guests, friends, and family.
Sanctioned TRK schools were in attendance from TRK Big Island Hawaii, and TRK Yelm Washington.
