How to Post Pictures

There are two ways to post pictures.  Small pictures can be posted directly from your computer by just:
1.  Going to the “Post Reply” page for your topic.
2.  At the bottom is a line named “Attach” with              a “Browse” button.
3.  Clicking on the “Browse” button will take you to your computer files.
4.  Find the filename for the picture you want to post and double click it.
5.  The file name should now show in the “Attach” line.
6.  Type whatever message text you want and then just click “Post”


Larger pictures, or multiple pictures can be posted by using one of  the “picture hosting websites” on the net.  A free one that I have had good luck with is: www.shutterfly.com  You will have to have your pictures saved on the picture hosting site

1.  Go to your picture on the site and right click on the picture.
2.  You will see a drop down list. Click on “Properties”
3.  Hi lite the complete “Address” (ULR) and right click on it, and copy.
4.  Now go to the “start new topic” or “reply” on the Kajukenbo Café where you will post your pictures. 
5.  At the top of the “Start New Topic” or “Reply” window you will see 2 rows of buttons.  Click the 4th from the left button on the second row.  Paste the "address" between the (img) and the (/img) symbols.   Except  "( )"  symbols will actually be  "[ ]" symbols.  Should look like this:

6.  Write your text to go with the picture.  If you want to post more than one picture, then you will have to click the “Image” button for each picture and paste the address between the (img) and the (/img) symbols.

How about the avatars.  I have tried to download an avatar in my profile page but can't seem to get it right.  I know there are a lot of people that don't have them so I wonder if they just know how to like me.  This is the picture.

I don't know how it works with the new server.  Sibak Rob's going to have to explain the how to's.

Click "Profile" then go to Forum Profile Information, click "I have my own picture" and type/paste the web address for the picture.  I don't think it can be locally stored on your computer, so if you need to upload it from your computer to a webspace, open a free account with something like ImageShack (www.imageshack.com) and then copy the address where it's stored.

What about a regular picture for my profile, rather than an avatar?  I've tried downloading a picture off my computer to my profile, but the paste command doesn't show.  I'd like for people to see a picture of who is posting.  It is kind of like eye contact, I much prefer talking to people face to face than over the phone.

I haven't forgot about you.  I've forwarded the request to Sibak Rob.  He's been out of town, and in the process of moving his residence, so I'tl be a little while before he can address this.

As Sigung has pointed out my life is in a bit of chaos at the moment.

In order to use a picture of yourself as the avatar, you will need access to your own web server or use imagestation. Upload an image and then use the web address to that image. You may have mis-interpreted "paste" referenced before. You cannot, "paste" an image, you can only paste a web reference to your image which would look something like http://www.mywebsite/images/picofme.jpg.

Sigung Bishop has given detailed instructions on how to use imagestation. I am personally not familiar with it as I do have access to my own web server.

I was able to post a picture, via my webpage from the career and technology center where I work.  However, it didn't image too well, so I took it down.  Thanks for the help.
