What makes a McDojo?
« on: December 16, 2019, 11:06:28 PM »
What are some of the factors that make a McDojo? Recently, my school made a couple of changes, which seem to be largely in the interest of increasing business. Obviously, I understand the move, the lights have to stay on, and the food has to get on the table somehow. But how much is too much? Thanks for your help!

In my opinion, it is when quantity or money is the priority over quality.  If it doesn't happen that it becomes a McDojo right away, it will happen sooner or later if the priorities are in the wrong place.  Money is fine and it is good to have a strong sense of the business aspects, but the focus should still be on quality.  If you focus on quality and take care of the people involved, people will still appreciate what you are doing and keep coming back.
